
So here’s one of the weirder Common VSO Attributes: instead of having an ebony fingerboard, they use a cheaper, softer wood that is painted black. Yeah, okay, I get it, not a huge market for Blindingly White Fingerboards, and non-black ebony fittings get dyed for use. But why do these always leave some part of the underside naked?? I get leaving part of it blank for gluing purposes, but like… bruh so much of that it unpainted. Or even just finish painting the hollowed out bit?? Baffling. Gonna start my own Prestige VSO factory where the underside of the fingerboard is painted properly.
